was produced by KMOV-TV in St. Louis. Bi-State's MetroLink connects East St. Louis in Illinois with the northwestern suburbs in Missouri. This documentary was produced by a local television station to introduce St. Louis to its new line.
Skip Goodrum, the producer, is both a journalist and a railfan, and has made a tape which is over half shots of the line in use, with additional sequences showing some history, the line's construction (including before-and-after views), expansion plans, and some very brief interviews. A section giving a complete tour of the system, showing every station, is introduced by a high-speed run over the whole line shot out the front of a train - 14.5 miles in just under two minutes, or an effective speed of nearly 500 miles per hour!
Intended for general audiences, this tape can be used by light rail advocates, but it contains plenty to please the railfan as well.
