SUBWAY: Empire Beneath the Streets
is the story of one of the world's greatest railroads...the New York City subway. The show traces the subway's fascinating history from its earliest antecedents (did you know there was a secret subway constructed in Manhattan in 1870?) to the present.
Combining modern video, rare archival footage, and computer animation, SUBWAY looks underneath the streets of New York at the technology, the politics, and the power of the subway. Intended primarily for general audiences, there is much of interest to the railfan.
