The movie is 1 minute 53 seconds long, condensed from a sequence which lasts 5 minutes 33 seconds on the tape. The shots are in the same order (the correct geographical order as the car travels over the line) but some shots have been left out, and all shots have been shortened. The movie has post-synchronized sound effects.

The file is 3.385 MB, compressed with the Bink compressor. If you are using a Windows computer (95, 98, NT), all you need to do is download the file (fineview.exe) to someplace on your hard drive where you can find it, browse there with Windows Explorer, and double-click on the file. You don't need to download and install player software; the player is built into the file, just like a self-extracting archive, and it will begin playing in a small window on your screen. Either let it finish, and the window will close automatically, or press the Escape key or the Close gadget on the window's title bar to abort playback anytime. Press the Space bar to Pause (and restart).

If you are a Mac user, you will need to download the Mac version of the Bink player from the RadGameTools web site to play this file. After installing the player, just tell it to play fineview.exe and it will ignore the Windows player embedded in the file and proceed right to the movie part and start playback.

If you are a Windows user, you too might want to download the Windows version of the Bink player from RadGameTools because it will give you more control over playback options. Both the Mac and Windows versions of the full installation of the Bink player ignore the embedded player when they play the movie part.

We think the Bink compressor does an extremely good job of compressing movies for computer playback. Please visit the RadGameTools web site for more information on how they do it, or if you have further questions about any of the procedures on this page. Their information is clear and well-organized.
